Chrome Hearts runs two of its own boutiques in New York City, one in the West Village and one on the Upper East Side, and a short list of authorized retailers carries the brand beyond that. If you want a current piece at the brand's own price, that is where you start. If you want something sold out, discontinued or in a size the stores no longer have, you are shopping the resale market, where prices are set by sellers and not by the brand.

This guide covers when each route makes sense, what the brand says about visiting its stores, whether resale is ever cheaper, and what to check before you pay a reseller. Once Legos is an independent reseller of authenticated pre-owned Chrome Hearts. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorized by Chrome Hearts, and everything below about the brand's own stores comes from its public website and published press coverage.

Chrome Hearts' own stores in New York

The locations page on the Chrome Hearts website lists two New York boutiques:

  • West Village: 755 Washington Street. The page shows a Schedule Appointment option for this store.
  • Upper East Side: 870 Madison Avenue. The page lists this store as Open.

The West Village location is the one the press calls the New York flagship. FashionUnited covered its opening in April 2017 as a 16,000-square-foot store with a furniture showroom, and The Hollywood Reporter described a warehouse-style, two-story space with a gallery, lounge and kitchen. The brand's first New York boutique opened in 1996, and it has also run appointment-only pop-ups next to the West Village store.

Do you need an appointment?

The brand does not publish a walk-in policy, and the Schedule Appointment label on its locations page is the only signal we can point to. Hours, rules and stock change, so contact the store through the phone number or email listed for it on that page before you travel, rather than rely on an old forum post. Search suggestions for the West Village store include both appointment and walk-in, so you are not the only one asking.

What to expect inside

Stock is not posted online. FashionBeans notes that the stores carry custom furniture and product that often cannot be bought anywhere else, which includes pieces made for a specific location; resellers list items described as NYC exclusive. Go in with a category and a size in mind, because as far as we can tell the staff are the only way to learn what is on the floor that week.

New York has also hosted limited pop-ups. Wikipedia records a Sex Records pop-up in 2018 and again in 2021, and Highsnobiety described the 2021 annex beside the West Village store as an appointment-only installation selling items such as branded toy cars, customized helmets and modified jeans. Pieces made for events like these are hard to find once the event ends, which is a large part of why a resale market exists.

Authorized retailers and the official website

The brand's authorized retailers page is short. In the United States it lists Hirshleifer's in Manhasset on Long Island, Maxfield in Malibu and Los Angeles, Nuages in Aspen and Riccardi in Boston, plus a few stockists in Japan and Switzerland. Department stores such as Bergdorf Goodman have been reported as Chrome Hearts stockists too, but they are not on that page, so confirm availability with them first.

The online store is narrow. As of October 2026 its menu lists Baccarat, scents, underwear and socks, and not the jewelry, denim or hoodies most buyers search for. FashionBeans wrote in January 2026 that Chrome Hearts does not rely on e-commerce the way its peers do, and Ypulse lists surprise online drops among the brand's sources of exclusivity. For US orders, the brand's site states standard shipping of 3 to 7 business days after processing and a 30-day return window on most products ordered through the website, with furniture, specialty and customized items excluded. Those are the terms to compare against when you look at any reseller.

Buying Chrome Hearts resale in New York

Resale fills the gaps the stores leave: sold-out pieces, older designs, sizes the stores no longer carry, and collaborations that were limited to begin with. In New York you will run into four kinds of seller, and each has trade-offs.

  • Peer-to-peer marketplaces: wide selection and prices that vary by seller. How well a piece is checked depends on the platform and on how carefully you read the listing.
  • Consignment sites: a third party reviews the item, but condition descriptions and fees vary.
  • Independent resellers and showrooms: you deal with one business that holds the inventory, which makes it easier to ask about condition and authenticity and to follow up afterward. Policies differ, so read them first.
  • Sourcing services: if you know the exact piece you want, a reseller with a seller network can search for it instead of you scrolling listings.

Is Chrome Hearts cheaper on the resale market?

For most in-demand pieces, no. Chrome Hearts controls supply tightly, and when a piece sells out its price becomes whatever the market will pay. Highsnobiety has put the problem plainly: the brand is hard to find stocked, and if you do find it, it is probably out of stock. Paying more on resale is largely paying for access. We are not aware of public data that tracks resale prices against retail across the whole brand, so treat any single markup figure you see online with caution.

Two listings of the same style can carry very different prices. The usual reasons are condition, size, how rare the colorway or collaboration is, and what the seller paid to source and authenticate the piece. Compare recently sold or listed examples in the same condition rather than asking prices alone.

Where resale can save money is condition within the same market. Our FAQ explains our four grades: Good-grade pieces are priced 20 to 35 percent below Excellent, and Fair-grade pieces 40 to 50 percent or more below Excellent, with every flaw photographed and disclosed. If a style is available in more than one grade, the visible-wear version is the cheaper way in.

What to check before you buy from a reseller

  1. Ask how authentication works. A good answer names specific checks, such as the .925 sterling mark, the Chrome Hearts stamp, weight and construction details.
  2. Look for a written condition grade and photos of the actual item, not stock images.
  3. Confirm the piece is physically in the seller's hands, so the item you see is the item you receive.
  4. Read the return policy before you pay. The brand offers a return window on most website orders; many resellers of pre-owned luxury, including us, treat sales as final apart from narrow exceptions.
  5. Be wary of prices far below the market for sterling silver. Weight is the first thing counterfeits get wrong.

Visiting the Once Legos showroom

Our NYC Showroom is private and appointment-only, in New York's Financial District. Walk-ins are not accepted. You choose a date and time on the booking page, and after you book you message us on WhatsApp for the exact address. Slots run from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET, seven days a week. The earliest online booking is the next day, and for a same-day visit you can message us on WhatsApp. Tell us what you are interested in when you book. If you only want to sell, the Sell To Us page is the faster route to an offer.

Every appointment is one-on-one: just you and the team, whether you are buying, selling or both. You can browse the vault, try pieces on, sell or trade. The showroom holds 600+ authenticated pieces across clothing, jewelry, denim, bags and eyewear, and every piece we list is physically in hand in New York, authenticated and graded. If you want to look first, the Shop has rings, necklaces and hoodies, and pieces ship from NYC.

Everything we sell is pre-owned and all sales are final, with two exceptions described on our Returns page: verified proof of inauthenticity from a recognized third-party authenticator, or an item that materially differs from its photographs and description.

Which route fits what you want

  • A current piece, bought new, with a return window: the West Village or Upper East Side store, or an authorized retailer. Contact them first.
  • A sold-out, older or specific-size piece: resale, using the checklist above.
  • To see and handle pieces before you buy, privately, in New York: a showroom appointment.
  • To buy from out of town: an online reseller that holds the item in hand and publishes grades and clear photos.

The official stores and the resale market are two halves of the same system. The brand decides what exists and where it is sold, and resale is where everything that sold out, aged out or never reached your city ends up. If you are still deciding how much a piece should cost, our guide to why Chrome Hearts is so expensive explains what the price covers.
