Celebrities Who Wear Chrome Hearts: A Sourced Guide to Documented Wearers
Which celebrities have actually been documented wearing Chrome Hearts, and when? A sourced list covering the rock musicians who launched the brand, the rappers who adopted it, and today's athletes and actors.

The people most clearly documented wearing Chrome Hearts include Cher, a longtime supporter of the brand; Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, whose stage clothes helped launch it; and rock bands such as Guns N' Roses and Mötley Crüe. Rappers including Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg and Jim Jones followed in the 2000s, and in the last decade the list has grown to include Rihanna, Bella Hadid, Drake, Kim Kardashian, Offset, Timothée Chalamet and athletes such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Each name below is tied to a published report, usually a specific event, performance or collaboration.
We kept the list to public appearances and documented collaborations reported by established outlets, including Complex, Vogue, W Magazine, V Magazine, Highsnobiety, Hypebeast, Bustle and the Chicago Tribune. We left out rumours, unverified photos and anything about private lives. Being photographed in a brand is also not the same as endorsing it, and nothing here implies that any person named has a connection to Once Legos.
Once Legos is an independent NYC reseller of pre-owned Chrome Hearts. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorized by Chrome Hearts. This list reflects press coverage through mid-2026.
Documented wearers by era
1980s and 1990s: the rock origins
Chrome Hearts' first big exposure came through Steve Jones, who began wearing the brand on stage after the company made costumes for a 1989 horror comedy co-starring his girlfriend. Mötley Crüe and Guns N' Roses followed, according to Complex. V Magazine adds friendships with Aerosmith and early clients including Lenny Kravitz, the Cult and Heart. For the full story of how that happened, see our Chrome Hearts history.
- Cher: presented Richard Stark with the CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year award in 1992, as Complex, W Magazine and V Magazine all report. Complex says she wore a full Chrome Hearts outfit.
- The Chicago Tribune's 1992 profile named Cher, Billy Idol, Naomi Campbell, John Cusack, Guns N' Roses and Aerosmith among the people associated with the brand.
- Matt LeBlanc: wore a black leather arm sling with a silver Chrome Hearts cross medallion to the 1996 Emmy Awards, per Complex and Bustle.
2000s: hip-hop adopts the brand
Complex wrote in 2020 that in the 2000s Juelz Santana, Jim Jones and Lil Wayne frequently wore Chrome Hearts apparel and accessories, including leather belts with silver hardware.
- Snoop Dogg: appeared in Chrome Hearts in a 2001 Flaunt photoshoot, according to Complex.

2010s: fashion insiders and a new generation
- Rick Owens and Virgil Abloh: Vogue covered a Chrome Hearts and Rick Owens collaboration in 2010. Complex says Abloh called Chrome Hearts one of his favorite brands, and Off-White released capsules with it between 2015 and 2019.
- Rihanna: wore a black silk robe and matching dress covered in Chrome Hearts crosses at the 2015 Anti cover reveal, per Complex. Bustle calls her and Kylie Jenner known fans of the brand.
- Bella Hadid: has collaborated with Chrome Hearts since 2017, starting with a 40-piece collection launched with an event in Paris and sold at Selfridges, according to Vogue and HERO. Complex notes several collections since.
- Elton John and Kanye West: Hypebeast wrote in 2018 that the label can name both as ardent collectors, and the same profile mentioned Aerosmith, Kendrick Lamar and Kate Hudson among its famous customers.
- Lady Gaga, Soko and Dree Hemingway: W Magazine listed them in 2016 as part of a new generation of celebrity fans.
2020s: music, sports and red carpets
- Drake: Complex says he was frequently seen in Chrome Hearts cross patch jeans from late 2019. He released a Certified Lover Boy collection with the brand and a custom Rolls-Royce Cullinan in 2021, and Hypebeast reported a collection with Nike's NOCTA line in late 2025.
- Kim Kardashian: wore Chrome Hearts jewelry at events including the 2023 TIME100 Gala and CFDA Awards, per Bustle, and a custom ensemble at the 2025 Met Gala, per Complex.
- Offset, Yeat, Playboi Carti and Kai Cenat: Complex lists custom leather outfits on Offset's 2024 Set It Off tour, Yeat's Coachella set in 2025, Playboi Carti's courtside looks, and Chrome Hearts Uggs worn by Kai Cenat at the 2025 NBA Finals.

- Martha Stewart: Highsnobiety noted her gold Chrome Hearts jewelry at the 2022 CFDA Awards, and said Lenny Kravitz, Orville Peck, Future and CL wore bespoke Chrome Hearts outfits that year.
Why the brand keeps showing up
Press offers a few explanations rather than one. Complex ties the brand's appeal to its origins as a rock uniform and to its limited availability. Highsnobiety argues that its biker and rock roots make it a natural fit for entertainers who want something flashy. And custom work has been part of the business from the start: the Chicago Tribune noted in 1992 that much of the company's output was custom, which helps explain why so many red-carpet and stage looks are one-offs rather than retail pieces.
How a trademark case described the audience
The Fashion Law's report on Chrome Hearts' 2020 trademark complaint against the brand MNML described the brand's adoption by celebrities ranging from Madonna, Rihanna and Cher to Tom Brady, David Beckham and Lenny Kravitz as part of the background to the case. That is how the dispute was framed in a legal context, not independent verification for any individual, but it shows how the brand's profile is described.
What celebrities actually wear from the brand
The same few categories come up again and again. Complex called the leather-cross denim ubiquitous among rappers such as Drake and Offset, which is why cross patch jeans remain the most recognizable piece. Bustle noted in 2024 that silver cross necklaces were the jewelry people were chasing, and Complex singled out the brand's trucker hats with gothic lettering as one of its most recognizable items. If you want the same categories, browse our necklaces and pendants and trucker hats, all of which are in hand in New York.
Custom looks, press photos and provenance
Many of the looks above are custom or one-off. Chalamet's velvet set and Alysa Liu's ensemble were described as custom, and Offset's tour outfits were made for the tour. Those pieces are not sold at retail and cannot be bought as seen. A "worn by a celebrity" label on a listing is also not evidence of anything: a photograph cannot confirm that a specific piece is genuine or that a specific person owned it.
Appearances are not necessarily paid promotion either. W Magazine reported in 2016 that the brand does not gift product, and V Magazine reported that catering to stars was never part of Chrome Hearts' marketing plan, though we cannot speak to individual cases. What matters when you buy is the piece in front of you. Our guide to telling real from fake Chrome Hearts jewelry covers what we check, and our resale value guide explains what actually affects value.
Looking for a piece you saw on someone?
If you have seen a design you want, browse the Shop for what is in stock now. Custom one-offs were never made available, so they rarely turn up. To handle pieces in person, book a private visit at our NYC Showroom. If you own pieces from any of these eras and want a same-day offer, send photos through Sell To Us. Every piece we list is authenticated and graded Brand New, Excellent, Great, Good or Fair, and all sales are final.
The bottom line
Chrome Hearts has been worn by rock musicians since the late 1980s, rappers since the 2000s, and a mix of actors, athletes and models more recently, and the documented record is broad. The reliable way to use that record is as background, not as a quality signal. The piece itself, its authenticity and its condition are what count.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
- Which celebrities wear Chrome Hearts?
- Well-documented wearers include Cher, Steve Jones, Guns N' Roses, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Rihanna, Bella Hadid, Drake, Kim Kardashian, Offset, Timothée Chalamet and athletes such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, according to outlets including Complex, Vogue, Bustle and Hypebeast. Each has been reported at specific events or in collaborations rather than simply rumoured.
- Who was the first celebrity to wear Chrome Hearts?
- Complex identifies Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones as the source of the brand's first big exposure in the late 1980s, after Chrome Hearts made costumes for a film that co-starred his girlfriend. Mötley Crüe and Guns N' Roses followed. Press does not establish a single "first" customer beyond that.
- Has Drake collaborated with Chrome Hearts?
- Yes. Complex reports a Certified Lover Boy collection and a customized Rolls-Royce Cullinan in 2021, and Hypebeast reported a Chrome Hearts collection with Nike's NOCTA line in late 2025. Drake has also been widely photographed in the brand's cross patch jeans. Collaborating with the brand is not the same as owning it.
- Do celebrities get Chrome Hearts for free?
- W Magazine reported in 2016 that the brand does not gift product, and V Magazine reported that catering to stars was never part of its marketing plan. We cannot verify how any individual person obtained a piece, and many celebrity looks are custom commissions rather than retail items.
- Which rappers wear Chrome Hearts?
- Complex names Juelz Santana, Jim Jones and Lil Wayne as frequent wearers in the 2000s, with Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg photographed in the brand in 2005 and 2001. More recently it cites Kanye West, Travis Scott, Drake, Offset, Playboi Carti and Yeat, and notes Lil Uzi Vert has rapped about the brand.
- Does a celebrity connection make a Chrome Hearts piece more valuable or more likely to be real?
- A celebrity connection cannot be verified from a photograph and says nothing about authenticity. Condition, authenticity and the specific design matter far more, which is why we check weight, stamps, casting and finish on every piece. Our resale value guide explains what actually holds value.
